Wedding day transport tips for a stress-free day

You want your wedding day celebration to be as pressure-free as possible. To prevent a frenzy. You need to prepare and forward plan in case something goes wrong and you need to sort it out. The following list is a quick guide to help you be prepared for your perfect wedding day transport so you arrive in style. Ensure you’ve done everything you can to ensure the smooth running of the wedding day. Of course, we will help you as much as we can.

Ensure on your wedding day that the car you have ordered can carry the number of guests in your bridal party that you need to transport. We want you to arrive in the ultimate style, class and comfort.  Some wedding cars might be smaller than our standard cars, have you seen the interior of your chosen car. So don’t be caught out and make sure you know the cars seating capacity.

It is against the law to carry more people than the vehicle is intended for. We would hate to be in a situation where someone has tried to sneak into a car, and we couldn’t allow it.Of coarse if time permits we can do multiple journeys, ensuring all your guests are delivered to your chosen venue. Just ask us to allow for this.We aim to please

If you are expecting to transport young children on your wedding day while using our cars. Then ensure you have checked that the car has the necessary seating and safety belts. Unlike regular taxis, wedding cars are not exempt from standard road traffic laws.  Our drivers will not allow children to travel illegally. Also we are not able to install your children seats.But will gladly allow you too

Wedding photos

If you need a stop for photos on your wedding day before your trip to the wedding reception. Ensure that this has been well planned while booking, at least let us know a good week before the wedding.  We will try our best to avoid traffic issues or road works; we will update you about any problems.

Ensure you have checked your itinerary and that you are happy with times and plans. We will double check everything; we will ask you to do the same.

Travel the route yourself and inform our wedding car planner if there is anything you think they should be aware of. We will always check for ourselves, but please do let us know.

Checks for your wedding car journey

Check if any events are happening in the local area on your wedding day and if they will impact the journey in any way. We have known someone a few years ago to book a wedding but didn’t see a car show was happening next door to the service.

Speak to the ceremony & reception venues and find out where the car can pull up outside to let you out.  Try to arrange for a car space to be left clear outside the site.

Ensure that parking and entry permits are in place for venues that require them.

Make sure that you are contactable on the phone number you have provided; it is best practice to provide a mobile phone number (leave on silent) and a landline number. Make sure the phone is on vibrate at the very least during the wedding service.

Have our wedding car contact details to hand.

Most important – Make sure you have a ‘Plan B’. In the unfortunate and highly unlikely event that the wedding car develops a problem or is delayed.
