But it wasn’t just the wedding gown. As white ribbons were also used to signify that a bride is to be married. Hence being adorned to whatever method of transport she was using.
So over time, wedding transport evolved into the classic wedding car. Which most are still adorned with ribbons to pay homage to this long-standing tradition.
Of course, with many couples sticking with the ribbon tradition for their wedding transport. This is strictly a matter of personal choice and by no way a strict requirement.

So these include an image of a bride and groom on the ribbon. Also the same as those found on our wedding car flags.
Our wedding Ribbons are made to work with any wedding theme. Hence with the designs looking great with any theme be it modern, classic, traditional, vintage etc.
All our wedding vehicles are supplied with wedding ribbons. Available in white with gold writing or gold with white writing. The words bride and groom are also inscribed on the ribbons to match the images.
Also as supporters of the LGBTQ community we also provide ribbons with bride and bride, and groom and groom images.
Personalise Your Ribbons
Are different colours available for wedding ribbons? Of course they are! We understand that each wedding has its own unique style and aesthetic. So we are happy to provide ribbons in a variety of colour options.
So whenever possible – we try to match your desired colour and will recommend what colour works best for the writing.
Also, you can personalise other aspects of the wedding car ribbon. Hence, such as adding the names of the bride and groom. Also the date of the wedding, with a range of colour options available. Any personalised ribbons are given to you at the end of the wedding, a great keepsake of your special day!
All wedding car ribbons are made from premium silk and are specially designed for SWWC. We find silk is the best choice not just for its luxury aesthetic. But also because it is much more friendly to our wedding vehicles. More softer and durable than other materials, such as nylon.
Unfortunately, silk is not water proof so they may get wet if it is raining. Don’t worry though if you have personalised your ribbons. We will take these off and dry them. Then either drop them off or post them to you.
